One room, not the whole house

Painting & Patching

Not every paint job needs a full crew. A bedroom repaint, a patched wall that needs matching, a feature wall, a ceiling touch-up after a leak repair. We prep properly, use quality paint, and cut clean lines without taping everything in sight.

Painting & Patching by Fixline Property Maintenance
Scope

What this job includes.

  • Single-room interior repaints
  • Touch-ups and colour matching
  • Feature walls and accent colours
  • Plaster patching, crack filling, skim coating
  • Ceiling repaints after leak or smoke damage
  • Door and trim repaints
Our system: We use Dulux and Taubmans and we quote the number of coats. If the wall needs two coats of primer and two of topcoat, we say so upfront, not after we have started.
How we quote it

How we price this work

We quote in writing before we start. No hourly surprises, no hidden charges.

The job sheet
  1. 1 Same-day callback. You call or send a message. We get back to you the same business day with a phone quote for small jobs, or a time to come look at bigger ones.
  2. 2 Written quote, fixed price. Every job gets a written quote before we start. The price on the page is the price you pay. No hourly surprises.
  3. 3 One visit, whole list. Send us the full list. We quote the lot, book one visit, and work through everything start to finish. One call-out, not five.
  4. 4 If it needs a specialist, we say so. Electrical, gas, structural, licensed plumbing. If your job crosses a licence line, we tell you before we touch it and refer someone we trust.
If a quote doesn’t show these lines, you can’t compare it, and you don’t know what’s been cut.
How it runs

What happens, step by step.

1

Send us the list

Call, text or fill in the form. Tell us what needs doing and attach a few photos if you can. We get back to you the same business day.

2

We quote it in writing

For small jobs we quote over the phone. For anything bigger we come out, look at the work, and give you a written price before we start.

3

One visit, done properly

We book the time, bring the tools and parts, and work through the list start to finish. No half-jobs, no second visits for the same work.

4

Clean up and walk through

We clean up after ourselves, walk you through what was done, and leave you with a written summary and photos of the completed work.

Insured, covered, guaranteed

The paperwork behind the price.

Public liability to $20M + tool of trade, and a 12-month workmanship, all in writing, all on request.

Every Fixline quote includes $20M public liability cover, NSW Fair Trading registration, and a 12-month written workmanship warranty. If our repair fails within that period, we come back and fix it at no charge. Certificates available on request.

The cover, the guarantee, and how to check each one.
Questions, answered

Painting & Patching: common questions.

What is the difference between a handyman painter and a painting contractor?
Scale. A painting contractor runs a crew and does whole-house repaints and exteriors. We do one-room, two-room and patch-and-paint jobs where a crew is overkill and a DIY attempt will show. If your job is a full exterior repaint we will refer you to a painter we trust.
Can you match the existing paint colour?
Usually, yes. We take a chip or use a colour reader, get it matched at the paint shop, and test it on a hidden spot before we commit. Old paint fades, so a perfect match on the whole wall is easier than a perfect match on a patch. We will tell you upfront what to expect.
